I don't draw but one day wandering around an art supply shop in Berkeley I saw these blank puzzles and I thought maybe I should draw something on them, break it up, stuff all the pieces in an envelope and then send them to a friend. Something about the puzzle grid, as opposed to a seamless piece of paper made me less intimidated to try drawing. But I never sent any of them out, couldn't bear to part with them. It's different with poetry you can send it out and keep the thing at the same time.
