AMP: Artists' Meeting Place and Resource Collective

Hello All!!!

XYandZ is having an AERIAL dance theater workshop at 241 Bedford Ave Williamsburg, Brooklyn!!!

The focus of the workshop will be improvisation on the floor, taking it in
the air, and developing a set choreographic sequence that results in
characterization and plot development. We will learn basic rock climbing
techniques (simple figure 8 knots, and belaying with a gri gri) which will
enable us to safely spin, climb, bounce, eject, and pierce the air that
surrounds us. Each 3 hour day will result in an aerial vocabulary which
includes harness work, lyra play (hoop), and adagio wall focus. At the end
of the intensive, there will be a informal performance to invite your
friends, family, and agents to see the end result!

XYandZ's official times and dates for the July intensive are as follows:

Wednesday, July 19th- 11:00 to 2:00

Thursday, July 20th- 5:30 to 8:30

Friday, July 21st- 11:00 to 2:00

Saturday, July 22nd- 1:00 to 4:00

Sunday, July 23rd- (class and showing) 1:00 to 4:00

For those of you that have your afternoons available: Wed, Fri, and Sunday will work!
For the nine to fivers: Thurs, Sat, and Sunday will work!

The workshop is $225.00 for 3 days, $210.00 for those of you that sign up in advance...if you'd like to take more than 3 classes, we'll cut $6.00 off each extra class.

(This is a 3 day workshop that results in a showing at the end of class on Sunday. A student is welcome to take more than 3 classes, but the sequential work of aerial training does not promote walk-ins......sorry!)

maximum of only 8 people, we are able to give personalized assistance and intense
training to each student.....and there is no dance experience necessary.
