While its focus is visual arts activities in Iceland, the Center for Icelandic Art in Reykjavik also aims to connect those in Icelandic visual arts with an international art network. Funded by the Icelandic Ministry of Culture, this year-old institution is a first for Iceland, as it's never before had an institution that promoted Icelandic art. The CIA offers a support program, and the website provides links to both Icelandic artists and Icelandic art institutions.
