Migrating Art Academies is a joint educational project of these three European higher education institutions: the European School of Visual Arts (EESI, FR), the Kunsthochschule für Medien Koln(KHM, DE) and the Vilnius Academy of Arts (VDA, LT). Its primary purpose is to research and develop a progressive model of education that combines new forms of creative practice, collaboration, cooperation, and production. During the project, students have the possibility to work in an autonomous space between virtual and real worlds, as well as between their normal home environment and new, unfamiliar places. The students investigate and engage the local environment at the same time as developing creative projects in response to their experiences. The MigAA project is financed by the European Commission Culture Program 2007-2013.

PROGRAM is a nonprofit project aimed at testing the disciplinary boundaries of architecture through collaborations with other fields. Initiated in 2006 by Carson Chan and Fotini Lazaridou-Hatzigoga, PROGRAM provides a discursive platform for artists, architects, critics and curators to explore ideas through exhibitions, performances, workshops, lectures, and residencies. PROGRAM intends to enrich and broaden our definitions of architecture, and to challenge traditional, domesticated modes of architectural practice and representation. Developing each project independent of an overarching agenda, PROGRAM is striving to diversify the ways we understand and make architecture. Central to our project is to engage the discourse with emerging creative processes that activate the space between pure theoretical research, professional praxis and architecture's social role.

Each spring, an internationally renowned artist will be chosen to create an artwork for the square. The work of art will be displayed for at least six months. ROSSMARKT3 is based on a new form of social participation, under which the people of Frankfurt will decide themselves on what works of art are to be displayed in one of the city’s public areas. Every year, a group of citizens will be elected to represent the people of Frankfurt and, with the help of the curator will choose and employ an artist for the project.

Y8 developed from the long-term project (since 1995 at Pat Hearn Gallery, NY). With this project Benita-Immanuel Grosser explore the possibility of launching the philosophy and practice of yoga into the context of art, as well as transferring it to the architectural and socially coded situation of exhibition spaces. After this project several public yoga sessions took place at a variety of international art institutions. With the intention of opening up a discussion of contemporary art in the context of yoga Benita-Immanuel Grosser founded Y8 in 2000. Y8 as a place continuously changes perspective through the different exhibitions. A grid, calculated especially for the Y8 space, serves as platform for the sessions at the museums.
