AMP: Artists' Meeting Place and Resource Collective

This particular piece is from a current series of Stoneboats which reflect and explore the theme of memory. Both personal and cultural memories are carried with each of us as we journey through life - those being memories help to define the forms into which our civilization is constantly evolving. This particular piece refers to a personal memory of my seventh birthday party (on a theme of pirates), but it also refers to my being an artist. As an artist I am a pirate: taking treasures from the world around me and making them mine.
