FAQS
"Memories III: All good things come in 3's is a two-week exhibit for non-professional artists. There is no theme this year, so feel free to express your creativity!
Can I participate without being a member of TSLO?
Absolutely yes! All of TSLO’s programmes are open to every non-professional artist and student. The more art and artists we have participate the more communication we lines and networks we create! We are pleased to see all artistic effort – not just the membership.
Can children enter again this year?
Yes! Of course they are welcome! The ENTIRE commission of the organisation is to promote art and creative experience for EVERYONE!!! If we get enough children interested in exhibiting, we may well have a whole area devoted to just them! But everything and anything goes.
Is there a fee and what is it for?
The fee pays for the building rental, the party catering and other general overheads. We don’t have the fees for 2006 yet, but last year, they started at around 34 Euros (approx £22, $41, 252 DK)
Who can participate?
Anyone interested.
Will I need to make my own travel and hotel arrangements?
Yes, have a look at our Links page.
Is Filosofgangen accessible to wheelchairs?
Yes, there is a lift.
How many pieces of art can I exhibit?
That will depend on participation and the size of your submittal. All submittals will be in the show; no one will be turned down for exhibition.
We would prefer to keep it to a wall space of 100cm x 125cm - approximately - unless other arrangements have been made. Please make sure you contact us about oversized pieces or items that need special display first. As we expect to have more than 40 artists, we will need to keep the space distribution reasonable.
Sculpture should fit in a box 80cm x 80cm x 100cm. Smaller items are welcomed without limit (almost).
Do I need to exhibit the full two weeks?
Yes. We will provide you an address to ship it to and we will ship it back to you afterwards. It will have to be in Odense before 1 July 2006. And it will have to stay until 24th July 2006.
Do I need to come for the full two weeks?
You won’t have to be there the whole 2 weeks, but your art will. If you wish to exhibit you must make sure your art will be there before 1 July 2006 in time for us to place it. If you bring it yourself and want to have a say in how it is exhibited, you will need to be there before 10th July 2006 as well.
How will I get my art to Odense?
You can bring it yourself or you can send it. You can send it by special art shippers or general shippers. Just look for a company in your local yellow pages. The cost for shipment will be yours. Return shipment will be at our cost. This is the normal procedure in art exhibitions.
How will my art be returned?
You can take it back with you, or we will ship it for you at our cost. But no earlier than 26 July 2006. It must stay there the full 2 weeks.
Can I sell my art?
Not directly. But you can bring a portfolio and/or biography. We will provide a space for display and anyone interested can contact you personally.
Will other people outside our group see my art?
Yes, it is a public gallery owned and operated by the city of Odense and the municipality of MidtFyn.
Will there be a catalogue?
Yes, a special catalogue is planned. In order to be represented in the catalogue, an electronic photo of your work (preferably .PDF or TIF of 300dps or better) must be in our files before 22 May 2006 in order to be considered for insertion.
Will my art be safe?
It is an official gallery. Of course it will.
