The Art with Joe Series in conjunction with Authentic Art Consulting
and The ThickArt Collaborative presents "RED". "RED" is a visual art
exhibition about the continued fight against HIV/AIDS. The title RED
was chosen to celebrate the familar color that represents the message
that much remains to be done in helping those affected with HIV/AIDS
and to prevent the spread of HIV.
We have seen many medical breakthroughs and people affected with AIDS
are now living longer, healthier lives. However, many are still
facing on-going illness, and infection rates are continuing to rise
in the United States and across the world. With no cure or
vaccination on the horizon, we are likely to be fighting this
epidemic for years to come. There is no one person who has not, in
some way, been affected by this issue. "RED" is our opportunity to
come together as one voice in one common thread to make a difference
in this struggle that we are all fighting.
