Launching May 1, 2026, ATLT will open submissions for Take One Action, a public art campaign and virtual exhibition inviting artists to share artwork and propose a concrete action that everyday people can take to help save democracy. The initiative responds to urgent civic and environmental concerns, encouraging artists to translate complex issues into accessible, actionable steps for public engagement.
Two artists will be selected from the open call to create wheat-pasted posters that will be on view in Lower Manhattan from September to October 2026. Broader submissions will be permanently featured on the ATLT website, www.artatatimelikethis.com. Participating artists chosen for the public installation will receive a $1,000 honorarium.
The open call runs from May 1 to August 30, 2026, aligning with the upcoming U.S. midterm election cycle. Jurors include ATLT co-founders Anne Verhallen and Barbara Pollack, and Shameekia Shantel Johnson.
