New York Book Arts Scholarship

The New York Book Arts Scholarship provides financial support for students pursuing a certificate in book arts at the Center for Book Arts in New York. Two year scholarships are awarded based on financial need, the potential for success, and the applicant's career goals.
This application is open to students who have been traditionally under-represented in the book arts. This group includes, but is not limited to, students identifying by a certain race, sex, color, religion, creed, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, age, marital status, national origin or ancestry, ethnic origin or veteran status.
The scholarship will cover full tuition at the Center for Book Arts for two consecutive years, studio access, and cost of materials for classes and related projects.
The full curriculum encompasses comprehensive coursework in the book arts and includes thorough training in both letterpress printing and book binding. Scholarship students will have access to the Center's studios and programming throughout the two years of study in an environment that will challenge them to expand their creative practice in the art of the book.
