AUSTRAL, the new Performance Art Festival Buenos Aires, to take place from April 23rd - 27th, 2019, in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, invites artists to submit proposals for consideration in the first edition of the international event. AUSTRAL will be presented through ARTerial Performance Lab (APLAB), the transcontinental initiative created by artist and curator, Hector Canonge, in collaboration with SOStierra, directed and curated by Daniel Acosta. AUSTRAL will take place in and around the capital city presented by: Pan y Arte Espacio Multimedia, Espacio del Mercado de Boedo de San Juan, Universidad Nacional de Artes Visuales, and Museo Guillermo Hudson. The festival will consist of live performances, workshops, symposium, and public interventions in and around the city of Buenos Aires.

Open Call Guidelines:

AUSTRAL -Performance Art Festival Buenos Aires invites artists from around the world to submit their proposals for consideration in its first edition.

* Deadline for submissions is Sunday, March 31st, 2019 (Midnight).

NOTE: Artists in need of an invitation letter must submit their proposals ASAP.

* Proposal should be submitted through this online FORM (click).

* Artists must fill out their information and complete the SUBMISSIONS FORM (click).

* Every artist is responsible for their own expenses. APLAB, SOSTierra and other presenting organizations are not able to pay honorarium nor cover or reimburse the cost of travel, accommodations and/or related. However, the festival organizers will provide official letters of invitation for artists seeking funding to support their participation in the program.
