CONTEXT Art Miami is pleased to invite you to apply to participate in the seventh edition of the Fair, taking place December 4–9, 2018. CONTEXT Art Miami along with its sister Fair, Art Miami, will kick-off “Miami Art Week” with the most anticipated VIP Preview on December 4, 2018. Application submissions are due no later than June 1, 2018. To be considered for the 2018 edition, galleries must be in operation for a minimum of one year, and your application must include an overall program for your booth including a summary of the concept and artists.
The fair maintains a preeminent position in America's contemporary and primary art fair market and is globally recognized as an essential destination for top collectors to acquire the most important works from leading galleries representing emerging, mid-career, and cutting-edge artists. CONTEXT Art Miami and Art Miami are ranked number one in attendance in the United States and number two globally.
This year’s edition will introduce a new curatorial program with an exceptional platform of work by international contemporary artists, from young talents to the most significant names in mid-career. The main section will be vetted by the CONTEXT Art Miami Advisory Committee and exhibit the latest highlights from their gallery programs, from solo artist proposals to curated exhibitions.
CONTEXT Art Miami and Art Miami attract more than 85,000 attendees annually, and have settled in to their new location, the former Miami Herald site. Nestled between the Venetian Causeway and MacArthur Causeway and just east of Biscayne Blvd, the fairs offer an unprecedented level of convenience and a renewed connectivity to the activities and collectors on Miami Beach with accessible parking, a complimentary shuttle service between fairs and an Uber service for VIP ticket holders throughout the week. The new location also features amenities that allow visitors to spend an entire day at the fairs. To facilitate the experience, there are six hospitality areas including a waterfront café, an indoor café, outdoor dining space, cocktail lounge, and an outside cocktail deck overlooking beautiful Biscayne Bay. The 250,000 square-foot cement floor solidified the fairs' commitment to their new location and their continued investment in their beloved city of Miami.
CONTEXT Art Miami continues to develop and draw upon the vast collector base, art dealers, advisors, curators and museums that descend upon Miami for what has been largely heralded as the art week of the year in the United States. Participating galleries report high volume sales as collectors and advisors are present from the moment the doors open for the VIP Preview vying to acquire the most important works showcased in the fair.
We look forward to receiving your application and will continue to update you on the evolution of our organization and CONTEXT Art Miami. In the meantime, if you have any questions please feel free to contact us at applications@contextartmiami.com.
