POPPOSITIONS is an annual assembly in Brussels of galleries, artist initiatives and
project spaces. Conceived as an experiment with the art fair format, POPPOSITIONS aims to occupy an independent and critical position.
The 7th edition of POPPOSITIONS will take place during the Art Brussels week from 18 to 22 April 2018, showcasing works by emerging artists represented by galleries, project spaces and artist initiatives. Conceived as a curated exhibition rather than a traditional art fair, POPPOSITIONS will continue its mission by setting a tone that is surprisingly different and thought-provoking. Throughout the years, POPPOSITIONS has grown into a critically acclaimed, cutting-edge fair that is attracting collectors and art professionals from all over the globe.
Its unique business model is based on a professional core team and advisory board, which, supported by a range of volunteers, ensures to keep the participation fees low and the industry standards high.
The selection by a professional jury is solely based on the relevance and quality of the project. The jury members for this edition are Pieter Vermeulen (chairman), Federica Bueti, Niekolaas Johannes Lekkerkerk, Nicoletta Lambertucci and Pieternel Vermoortel.
We are welcoming project spaces, galleries as well as artist initiatives. Participation fees vary from 500 euro to 1500 euro, which makes POPPOSITIONS very accessible. Applications are limited to solo shows, which will be assembled by POPPOSITIONS into one single exhibition. All forms of media and artistic disciplines are accepted.
