2017 Exhibit of Student and Teacher Art Work

COPE NYC, Materials for the Arts, and NYCATA/UFT welcome students and their teachers to submit work.
Reimagine new ways to reuse materials creatively.
Suggestion: Use scraps, coffee filters, paper cups, foliage,
containers, cereal boxes, printed paper, or reclaimed wood.
Or, reinterpret an existing art work and use it in a new way.
Guidelines:
Size for 2D work: Individual (max size 18x24) Group (max size 36X48)
Self-standing 3D work can be any size.
Mats preferred for 2 Dimensional work.
Teachers’ work should be ready to hang: framed, matted, wired, etc. (no glass)
Materials should be securely attached. Pastels, charcoal, or cray-pas must be well fixed.
Timeline:
October 25th: Deadline for electronic submission of student work. Email clear jpeg images of artwork. Each image should be saved as teacher’s last name, artist name (eg: teacherstudent.jpg). In the body of the email include name of teacher and school. For each Jpeg submitted list artist’s name(s), grade, age, title, size, media. Include a brief teacher written paragraph that describes the project/ artworks (35 to 50 words). Send all to: info@aninclusiveworld.com
November 2nd 3rd 4th: Deadline to drop off or mail work to: Vida Sabbaghi c/o Cynthia Alberto, Weaving Hand, Room 704, 630 Flushing Ave. Brooklyn, NY 11206.
SUBWAY: take the G train to Flushing Ave. From Manhattan: Take the A or C to Hoyt-Schermerhorn - transfer to the G. Or, take the E or M and transfer to the G at Court Square.
November 18: Opening Reception for students, teachers, family, friends, & the community. (Time to be announced)
Mid-December: Exhibit closes.
