Why do we want to organize the performance festival „EUROPE BETWEEN DREAM AND REALITY“ just nowadays and just here, in Sinemorets?
Because Sinemorets is a fairy-tale seaside village, unique by its nature, habitat, climate and nevertheless the artists that come from all over the world. But Sinemorets is also The Black Sea's Gate of Europe. It is situated dozen km from the Turkish border and the paradox comes here - it is part of the international route for refugees, hopefully it won’t be that more active in the future. It is interesting to see how the different opinions, feelings, approaches and contemporary politics over Europe meet just here.
Performance festival „EUROPE BETWEEN DREAM AND REALITY“ examines the complexities underlying as our current perceptions of Europe as our classical conceptions of “so called“ Europe’s values. It aims to present the mechanisms of political manipulation within the perceptions and conceptions of Europe among Europeans and Non-Europeans across performance art.
„EUROPE BETWEEN DREAM AND REALITY“ aims to encourage international performers, artists, academics, theoreticians and, not least, the audience to make differences between dream and reality over Europe. Both a glorification of Europe’s values and a challenging of political problems in contemporary Europe are very welcome.
Performance festival „EUROPE BETWEEN DREAM AND REALITY“ will be a gathering of some of the most exciting and radical performance artists and thinkers from across the world and will showcase some of the most interesting examples of performance about contemporary Europe.
It will be a seven-day program of events and activities, taking place at well-known public (amphitheatre), memorial and the most beautiful sites in Sinemorets.

- very short CV,
- photos of your performances,
-very short description of performance you wish to participate at the festival until: 25. 07. 2017.
As festival „EUROPE BETWEEN DREAM AND REALITY“ is really independent, critical, and free and opened for followers of very open mind, there is not any sponsor. Consequent the Festival can’t offer any expenses and fees for participants.
It is my belief that performance art’s main duty is to challenge the contemporary crisis of Europe. Now more than ever, performance artists must help to their countries to win in this fight with prejudges and delusions over Europe.

P.S.
The closest airport is Burgas (WIZZ Air…) and the bus transport between Burgas and Sinemorets is 6 euro (last bus is at 2 pm). Accomodation is from 5.5 euro for a bed and drinks are as follows: coffee – 0.30 euro, beer – 1 euro (in a bar), 0.5 euro (from store), hard drinks – 200ml 1.5 euro. Food is cheap as well, and for 5 euro you can have great meal and also a drink. Participants of Festival will have a discount at a few restaurants and cafes, too.
