The Board of Mudam invites applications for the post of Director of this international museum of contemporary art, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2016.
Welcoming some 100,000 visitors a year to its stunning building designed by the Pritzker Prize-winning architect, Ieoh Ming Pei, the Museum attracts an international, regional and local audience to its innovative exhibition programme. The organisation also has its own Collection which continues to be developed, currently including 600 artworks reflecting the diversity of contemporary art forms, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography as well as design, fashion and new media.
The new Director will be responsible for both the artistic leadership and the management of staff and resources of the Museum. Able to articulate the strategic vision for the Museum as a whole with its purpose as a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary centre for cultural excellence at the heart of Europe, the new Director will be required to take the museum to the next level of its development.
The new Director will be an inspirational leader with a reputation internationally in the field of contemporary art and a good track record of working with artists and the broader arts community. Financially literate, an excellent relationship and stakeholder manager, candidates for this role will be inspired by the opportunity which Mudam presents, working with a Board ambitious for the future success and reputation of the organisation. They will be committed to increasing and diversifying audiences and realising the potential of the organisation.
