WAYFARERS SUMMER AIR DEADLINE: MARCH 15
Wayfarers is now accepting applications for our 4th annual Summer Artist in Residence Program. The program awards one artist the opportunity to develop a project / body of work in the supportive environment of Wayfarers, where 10 - 20 other working artists have studios. The selected artist is offered our 400 square foot ground floor gallery to use as a studio for 2 months (July and August 2017) and awarded unlimited access to the Wayfarers facilities, including the wood shop and silkscreen equipment. This year, we are able provide the selected artist with an honorarium of $1000, a materials stipend of $1000 and up to $400 for travel expenses. The residency culminates in a solo exhibition in the gallery in September 2017.
Wayfarers is located on the border of the Bushwick and Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhoods in Brooklyn, in what has rapidly become the latest New York haven for artists and musicians.
