Where: Camera Obscura Art Lab at 1450 Ocean Ave in Palisades Park, Santa Monica
When: 14 weeks between August 10-November 16, 2016
About: The Camera Obscura Studio Artist Residency program connects the public with artists and artisans working within and between the worlds of fine art and craft. Artists-in-residence share their work with the public informally and through weekly workshops and a culminating presentation. This residency offers access to a multipurpose studio with a spectacular ocean view in an iconic midcentury park building overlooking the Pier. Parking and a $1500 honorarium is provided.
Eligibility: The Cultural Affairs Division is requesting applications from emerging and established artists working in the fields of fine art, craft, and performance, based in Los Angeles County, with experience creating with or teaching an adult audience. Previous applicants are encouraged to apply again.
Submission Deadline: Thursday, May 26, 2016, received no later than 5:00pm.
