FUNDACION´ACE is now accepting applications to the Artist-in-Residence International Program 2015-2016. We are looking for all kind of visual and multimedia artists and curators who want to submit proposals to be in residence and to take advantage of the intense cultural life offered by Buenos Aires, one of Latin America cultural centers.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Career as well as emerging artists from all countries and nationalities. The 'ace residencies aim to support all contemporary visual art practices, including performance and curatorial proposals.

• Special interest in expanded field proposals that involve traditional and innovative print media practice and its hybridization with other disciplines (such as photography, design, writing, urban interventions and new media) exploring their mirror influences, as well as the capacity of multiple.

• Location&Facilities:

The 'ace studio is located in Buenos Aires, Argentina, one of the cultural centers of Latinamerica. Modern installations to create new works, research innovative ideas and experiment with different techniques. Well equipped printmaking workshop, laboratory, exhibition and meeting rooms, and library.
Lodging in a guest house in the heart of Buenos Aires: very near of all the major cultural attractions of the city.

Promotion of collaborative work, exchange, debate and experimentation is our mission.
We provide technical and conceptual assistance, artistic direction within the development of a project. At the same time, we encourage experimentation as we believe that artistic residencies are instances for exploration, change and growth.
For this, we believe that personal feedback, critiques and stimulating dialogue between the 'ace team, all the artists in residence and cultural professionals that visit the studio are key strategies.
One-of-a-kind residency in South America that achieves successfully bringing together artists around the world, bridging the gap between old and new technologies and artistic genres.

APPLICATION PROCESS

There is not application fee. To apply applicants should:
1) Require information and guidelines about the residencies, facilities and application form through: www.proyectoace.org/additional_info

2) Read carefully these documents, understanding the costs involved and what the residency fee does and does not include (everything is described in the guidelines). You can also have additional information at FAQ.

3) Apply online sending:
Filled application form with the required information:
-Letter of intention
- Personal Resume or CV.
- 10 images of recent work. Applicants may upload images (jpg) with a resolution of 72 dpi and a largest dimension around 800 px.
Applicants will receive confirmation about if the proposal is accepted by mail during MARCH 2016
