Call for Emerging Choreographers

In July 2007, SpectorDance will host the seventh annual Emerging Choreographers Showcase. This festival is an established dance event in our local community, in the region and the state. Our vision is to support dance artists on every level, heighten awareness of the unique beauty and power of contemporary dance, and to establish a new west
coast center for dance exchange. In spite of funding issues facing the arts today, we are delighted to present programs for emerging artist.

We invite choreographers from all over the globe to submit an application to perform at this event. Application fee is $50.

The performance dates will be each Sunday in July 2007. SpectorDance will provide all advertising and production costs. We will try to help with housing at homes with local families, or low rates at a local hotel if needed. We are delighted to offer new opportunities for emerging artists to show work here. The Emerging Choreographers Showcase aims to
celebrate the varied forms of dance expression.
