Call for Submissions!
Spring 2015 Culture Push Fellowship for Utopian Practice

Artists and other creative professionals are encouraged to apply with ideas
for projects that expand their practice beyond its traditional boundaries.
This is a process-based Fellowship, and Culture Push will help Fellows
develop big ideas that have real world applications. We are looking for
highly interactive projects that engage the public and push the boundaries
of how art can exist in the world. The Fellows will have a year-long tenure
that begins in the Spring of 2015, and will receive logistical,
institutional and financial support.

This is the fourth year of the Fellowship for Utopian Practice. The
Fellowship was started in 2012 and provides an opportunity for artists and
other professionals to experiment with new forms of civic engagement and
social practice. In these past three years we have supported thirteen
socially engaged projects that explore diverse subjects, including queer
empowerment through creative movement; critical feminist readings of The New
York Times; redesigning the kitchen garden; the practical choreography of
political street protest; theater as a mode philosophical inquiry;
reimagining the waterways of NYC; crowdsourcing neighborhood information
through public input of sense and experience; and re-envisioning abandoned
space in the Bronx.

Please review the updated guidelines on our website (http://www.culturepush.
org/guidelines/) for instructions on how to apply.
Submissions are due March 25 by 11:59PM.
