Title: Manager of Corporate Sponsorship
Reports to: Director of Corporate Sponsorship

Job Description:
Film Independent seeks a full-time Manager of Corporate Sponsorship to work closely with the Director of Corporate Sponsorship to secure key sponsors for Film Independent’s programs including the Independent Spirit Awards, the Los Angeles Film Festival, Film Independent at LACMA, Film Independent Forum, and Directors Close-up. The Manager is an integral member of the Sponsorship Department, which is responsible for raising all the corporate funding for the organization.

Duties:
· Prospect, cultivate and secure event sponsors. Sponsorships range from $5,000 - $500,000
· Responsible for at least one million dollars of annual company revenue
· Administer and close sponsorship agreements including: writing proposals, contracts, deal memos, obtaining proper signatures and working with Development Assistant to administer sponsorship invoices
· Manage and sell all print, email and web advertising year-round
· Manage annual updates of Film Independent’s year-round program rate cards and proposal decks
· Refine and enhance current sponsorship opportunities at Film Independent with the Director of Corporate Sponsorship
· Prospect, cultivate and secure in-kind goods for direct budget relief (chiefly for Spirit Awards, LA Film Festival and Artist Development)
· Participate as a member of the overall Development Department team including bi-weekly meetings and representing the department at various company committees
· Work with staff in Education, Production, Event Operations, and other Film Independent departments as the sponsor liaison
· Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements:
Candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized, be able to work well as part of a team and have strong computer and Web 2.0 skills,
· Strong sales, closing skills, and a history of performance essential
· 4 or more years fundraising and/or arts non-profit experience required
· Solid writing and communication skills to produce effective, compelling written materials
· Demonstrated attention to detail and executive presence
· Strong communication, organizational, administrative, and managerial skills needed
· Facility and experience with computers, data management including measuring results and outcomes (experience with Raiser’s Edge is a plus)
· Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
· Creativity and the ability to shift gears comfortably
· Knowledge of film exhibition and production helpful
· Entertainment-industry event production experience helpful
· Bachelor’s degree required
