AMP: Artists' Meeting Place and Resource Collective

Windward School, an independent college preparatory school for grades 7-12 in West Los Angeles, invites artists to submit resumes for our artist-in-residence program, The Installation Project. The residency gives artists an opportunity to work with highly motivated students, and for the community to watch and engage with artists as they create their work. We are currently seeking proposals for the 2013-14 school year. Artists working in installations, new genres, new media and contemporary practices are encouraged to apply.

The artist will be given six weeks, Jan 6 to Feb 21, 2014, to install, perform, and/or display the work. The residency will include an opening, promotional materials, a stipend, and funds for materials. Arrangements will be made for the artist to work with teachers and students on their project, and to meet with students, parents, and teachers to talk about their work.
