*PRODUCTION COORDINATOR ***
*The Role:*
The Production Coordinator is a key member of the Levitt Pavilion - Greater
Los Angeles & Pasadena staff, and is responsible for the overall production
of performances and special events. The position will report to the
Executive Director, and coordinate with the Artistic Director, Programs
Manager, Development Director, Sponsorship Coordinator, and Community
Outreach Coordinators. (The Production Coordiantor will supervise the
Seasonal Site Coordinators).

*Responsibilities:*
Responsibilities are generally delineated by two periods: summer and
non-summer
*Summer:*
- Must Ensure a positive and creative environment for the Venue
- Recruitment and hiring / terminating of production staff under your
supervision..
- Conduct evaluations of staff under your supervision (training, 90 day
and Annual). Set development and performance goals and monitor progress.
Responsible for documenting and delivering disciplinary actions to
production crew
- Update and maintain venue specific addendums to company training
materials for all production positions.
- Train /Assist and support production department personnel with job
functions as needed.
- Responsible for the technical Advance and Hospitality details for all
shows/events. Advances shows and connects with the artist’s management
and road manager on backline, hospitality, riders, stage plots. Responsible
for ensuring artist’s needs are met for production. Connects with the sound
company on riders.
· Laison between the venue and the artist's tour management, and
coordinates with Artistic Director to ensure all contracts are signed,
paperwork properly in place (W9’s, CWA’s, State Form 590/588, etc), riders
and stage plots in place, backline ordered, and hospitality contracts
fulfilled.
· Works with ED on hiring backline company. Orders all backline.
Coordinates with backline company.
- Coordinate operational feedback with Artistic Director.
- Oversee maintenance of audio, lighting, backline, video systems
advising on repairs when needed.
- Responsible for safe and consistent operation of all equipment.
- Advise on design of site audio / video & lighting systems
- Maintain a detailed and thorough filing system of all “show” files
and “past show” files on a venue shared drive
- Paperwork
- Responsible for the technical Advance and Hospitality details for all
shows/events.
- Manage daily schedule of production, including setup, stage, sound
checks, performance, and break down. Communicates and informs artists, road
managers, and sound crew about the schedule. Instructs Seasonal Site
Coordinator about the schedule and coordinates adherence.
- May serve as Stage Manager as needed, may MC events as needed.
- Responsible for all backstage and green room operations, and artist
load in and load out
- Work with ED on hiring sound company. Coordinate with sound company on
stage plots, riders, sound equipment inventory and repairs, and replacement
of equipment if needed.
- Security company
- Serves as liaison for production on all Non-Levitt events we partner
on, manages production on the same.

*Non-summer**
*
· Inventory equipment, identify equipment that needs repair or
replacement, get repairs done if necessary, coordinate with ED on
procurement of needed equipment
· Oversees breakdown of park post-season and supervises Seasonal
Site Manager in breakdown. including managing the maintenance, inventory,
and movement of equipment to storage in all venues
· Manage production for all Levitt events, benefits and other
special events as assigned
· Oversee equipment and instrument setups and moves
· Oversee technical aspects of all venues
· Act as stage manager &/or Levitt representative for outside
partner events as needed
· Act as production liaison for partnered events
· Works with Executive Director and Programs Manager to coordinate
with park and city staff to identify and obtain upgrades to park facilities.
· Work with Levitt team to plan and produce special events and
benefits
· Work with Levitt team to plan summer artistic and educational
activities, and summer schedule
· Assist in hiring, training, and engaging Seasonal Site
Coordinators and other seasonal staff with Programs Manager.
*Additional Duties:*
· Assist with special projects and initiatives as directed
· Perform other related duties as assigned
· Participate in events and activities which help advance the
organization, such as fundraising and outreach efforts
* **Qualifications:*
- Calm / Professional and customer service oriented
- Minimum 3 years prior music production experience
- 3 years minimum Tour and Stage Production experience
- Extensive backline, sound equipment technical knowledge – at least 2
years of in depth work in a field requiring gear knowledge.
- Experience in stage lighting, and pro audio systems a plus
· Understand structural limits of the building and rigging
availability and limitations.
· Have a sound working knowledge of the venue and its facilities
and where necessary take immediate action to ensure a safe working
environment.
· Efficiently manage labor, understand labor rules and maintain the
respect of the working labor departments.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to make clear concise decisions; sometimes with limited
information.
- Computer literate in Windows applications (Outlook, Excel, Word,
PowerPoint).
- Must possess superior interpersonal communication and organizational
skills.
- College Degree
- Bilingual
*Physical Demands/Working Environment:*
- Must be able to lift up to 75lbs.
- Moderate to loud level or noise in work environment
