Applicants are allowed to apply for mixed media and other genres not shown above.
Research residency program:
Curator, performing arts presenter, critic, researcher of other areas
Residency scope and period
Creation residency program: 30 persons/teams, approximately
Korean: one year (March 2013–February 2014), six months (March to August 2013, September 2013 to February 2014)
Foreign: three months (March to May 2013, June to August 2013, September to November 2013, December 2013 to February 2014)
Research residency Program: four persons/teams approximately
Korean: six months (March to August 2013, September 2013 to February 2014)
Foreign: three months (March to May 2013, June to August 2013, September to November 2013, December 2013 to February 2014)

Support details
Support on space
Provision of individual studio (one room for each person/team)
Provision of joint creation space (media lab, carpentry room, seminar room, archive)
Support on program
Provision of partial support for production cost for exhibition and project
Provision of opportunities to participate in residency programs (exhibition, community art, workshop, mentoring, training program, etc.)
Provision of opportunities to participate in international exchange programs
Other support
Return flight ticket (economy seat)
Accident insurance
Advertisement in Korea and abroad
Those chosen as candidates will discuss details with the curatorial team of GCC.
Qualification and restrictions
No restrictions on nationality, age, and media
Compliance with user rules and actively participate in GCC programs
Use of the studio for more than four days a week
Candidates are permitted to reside with one companion (required to notify GCC beforehand)
No pets or babies are allowed

In principle, all documents will be digitalized and submitted by email. All documents submitted will not be returned.

Visual arts
Image file of less than 20 pieces (less than 1MB per piece)
Video file of less than 5 minutes (total file size limited to 700MB. Video file is only applicable to media artists)
Performing arts
Video file of less than 5 minutes (total file size limited to 700MB)
Evidentiary documents for the past three years—catalogue, photo, video, promotional material, etc.
Literature
Verses, including poems, etc.—more than 20 pieces
Novels, plays, fairy stories, proses, etc.—more than three short stories, two medium-length stories, one full-length story
Research, investigation, critique, etc.—more than ten pieces
Research residence (curator, critic, theorist)
More than 10 pieces of catalogue, research, or critique
Image file extensions should be *.jpg or *.ppt.
Video file extensions should be *.avi, *.mov or *.wmv.
Selection procedure
Document screening: first private screening by experts
Announcement of first experts' results
Second public interview screening for candidates who have passed first review
Final announcement of successful applicants
Schedule of announcement of successful applicants
First announcement of qualifiers expected at the end of January 2013
Second public interview screening expected in early February 2013; international applicants are exempt from the interview
Final announcement of successful applicants expected in mid-February 2013
