Proposals are due on Friday December 14, 2012.
DCA will hold an informational workshop on Thursday, November 15, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Department of Cultural Affairs headquarters at 201 North Figueroa Street, Suite 1400, in downtown Los Angeles for groups of ten or more individuals. If you are interested in attending, please email sherlan.abesamis@lacity.org.
CEI is an opportunity to propose an international residency program to
take place between July 2012 and June 30, 2013. CEI fellowship grants can be sought by LA-based creative professionals (artists – e.g. dancers, designers, musicians, architects, filmmakers, visual artists, etc.; arts administrators; arts/cultural educators and scholars; curators; presenters; creative entrepreneurs; cultural innovators; and cultural experts) traveling abroad for residencies of two weeks to three months; or creative professionals coming to Los Angeles from abroad for intensive residencies of two weeks to three months hosted by one or more collaborating Los Angeles businesses. The program has been designed to support individual professionals or small groups (limit three to four people), and is not intended to support touring shows or exhibitions.
Additional questions about CEI applications may be sent to joe.smoke@lacity.org.
