Ame Gilbert is seeking muralist/graffiti artists, comic book
artists etc. of Mexican descent to participate in a Oaxacan pig-roast fiesta
following a day-long conference of food writers/bloggers and media artists
in upstate NY on 9/15. While the conferences focus is on "old media, new
media and the false divide," we'll use the story of Mexican migration in the
Hudson Valley, and the Mexican contribution to agriculture and the food
industry. We have a side of a barn to paint to tell this rich story, as well
as walls to fill, music to make, poetry to speak and a zine to produce that
highlights the amazing contributors at the conference and fiesta. For more
