*WordTheatre Production Internship
WordTheatre®: Giving Voice to Great Writing: We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
organization dedicated to inspiring a love of language and literature. We
present live performances of contemporary short stories with renowned
actors and authors in Los Angeles, New York and England. We also create
original themed events to benefit fellow educational and charitable
organizations including Autism Speaks, NARSAD, The Pushcart Prize, El
Camino College Foundation, Maternal Fetal Care International and many more.
WordTheatre In the Schools visits Title 1 high schools and middle schools
to bring stories to life for students living below the poverty line. Audio
and video downloads will soon be available through Audible. More

We are currently seeking interns to participate in projects across several
functional areas of the organization including:
- Production: assisting in story selection and casting as well as event
logistics
- Marketing: assisting in event promotion including creating and sending
out press releases and contacting groups and organizations
- Organizational Capacity: contributing to strategic conversations
regarding online presence and promotion including social media strategies
and website development
- Administrative: creating and formatting internal documents and
databases as well as communications with actors, authors and agents *

Ideal candidates have experience with Word, Excel, Facebook, Twitter,
YouTube, Gmail, Mac’s and PC’s. Reliable transportation a plus. Internship
is unpaid but lunch will be provided. 12 hours/week preferred but not
