Applications now open for Art Stage Singapore 2013
Art Stage Singapore, following a highly successful debut in 2011, is set to take place at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, from 24–27 January 2013.

Now in its third year, the fair's previous two editions on average saw over 30,000 visitors and showcased quality artworks from over 130 galleries representing nearly 30 countries. Only in its second year in 2012, Art Stage Singapore attracted new exhibitors including: prestigious international galleries Galerie EIGEN+ART (Leipzig/Berlin), Ben Brown Fine Arts (London/Hong Kong), Lehmann Maupin Gallery (New York), Victoria Miro (London), and White Cube (London/Hong Kong); as well as leading Asian galleries Gana Art Gallery (Seoul/Busan), Gallery Hyundai (Seoul), Mizuma Art Gallery (Tokyo/Beijing), Ota Fine Art (Tokyo), Tang Contemporary Art (Bangkok/Hong Kong/Beijing), and exciting young galleries from the region such as Takashi Murakami's Kaikai Kiki Gallery (Tokyo/Taipei).

Project Stage, the fair's platform dedicated to the discovery of rising Asian stars, featured 40 site-specific projects, stunning installations and innovative concepts.

Top collectors flew in from the USA, Europe and from around the region including India, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Hong Kong. High-profile artists who attended the fair included the likes of Alfredo Aquilizan, Wim Delvoye, Issac Julien, Jitish Kallat, David LaChapelle, Li Hui, I Nyoman Masriadi, MR., Takashi Murakami, Yoshitomo Nara, Navin Rawanchaikul, T.V. Santhosh, Shen Shaomin, Vasan Sitthiket, Agus Suwage, Yuan Goang-Ming, Zeng Fanzhi, and many others. Sales of works proved strong across all price categories including works by superstars of the art world including Chu Teh-Chun, Tracey Emin, Anish Kapoor, I Nyoman Masriadi, David LaChapelle, Takashi Murakami, and Gerhard Richter.

Art Stage Singapore 2013 looks to build on previous years and bring further emphasis to the importance of the Asia Pacific's burgeoning art scenes.

The fair intends to further capitalize on both Singapore and the fair's unique position in Southeast Asia to serve as a unifying art institution where a selection of the best and the most interesting artists and galleries of the Asia Pacific are carefully juxtaposed against Western positions in a complementary manner.

The fair will continue to strengthen its unique philosophy consisting of three focal points: emphasis on quality, exhibition of art in context, and presenting and supporting Asia Pacific's art scenes and markets, with a very special focus on Southeast Asia.

Art Stage Singapore is a unique artistic landmark for the city and entire Asia Pacific region. As one of the biggest social highlights of the year, it will continue to serve as a flagship brand in promoting and helping drive the Asia Pacific art market while allowing for crossovers between interrelated creative industries in celebration of the arts.
