AMP: Artists' Meeting Place and Resource Collective

Triumvirate Pi Theater is seeking one more cast member for our
performance piece with puppetry "Maudit" that will be at Highways in
Santa Monica, June 22 and 23 with rehearsals starting end of April.
The six member ensemble will create and puppeteer all the characters
and scenic effects which will include shadow work, rod, abstract, and
adapted bunraku. We are seeking performers with experience in
movement, physical theater, dance and/or puppetry, and work well in
ensembles and collaborative situations. Previous experience in
puppetry specifically is not necessary, only an openness to learn. We
very much encourage applicants of color to apply. Performers
interested in interviewing/auditioning to be part of the ensemble

"Maudit" is about the wife of artist Amadeo Modigliani, Jeanne
Hébuterne, who was herself a promising young artist who leaped from a
fifth floor window the day after Modigliani's death in 1920. Her art
was locked away by her family and was not seen by the public until the
year 2000. "Maudit" explores the fragility of memory and the
manipulation of women in the shadow of a male dominated art world.
