Los Angeles County Arts Commission's Free Concerts in Public Sites Program Now Accepting Applications
With funding support from the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, the Arts Commission administers the sponsorship of free concerts at community venues throughout Los Angeles County to provide access to quality music programming representing the diversity of County residents. The program provides funding to cover the payment of musicians at community concerts offered free to the public. Applications for the Los Angeles County Arts Commission's 2012 Free Concerts in Public Sites Program are now available on www.lacountyarts.org/free.html. Applications are due on Wednesday, March 7.
Applicants for the Free Concerts Program must be willing to coordinate all logistics, production and marketing of the event, and demonstrate that they can effectively bring an appropriate audience size for their proposed concert to be considered.
If you are part of a County-based park, library, hospital, juvenile hall, probation camp, arts organization, civic center, senior citizen center, or a non-profit performance venue and are interested in producing and marketing a free concert in your community, please visit www.lacountyarts.org/free.html to access the program guidelines including information about eligibility and program requirements.
