PROCEDURE FOR APPLYING FOR EXHIBITIONS AND PROJECTS AT ACCEA/NPAK For 2012
Individual artists, as well as groups and independent curators can present proposals for exhibitions and/or projects (hereafter 'event') to be held at the Armenian Center for Contemporary Experimental Art (ACCEA, NPAK in Armenian acronym) on following conditions:
1. Deadline for submitting proposals is September 30 of preceding year.
2. There is no limit on the type and medium of the event: fine arts, performing arts,
architecture, music, literature, art criticism, etc.
3. Proposal package must include:
- Title of the project and its concept.
- Name and CV of curator/organizer (the applicant)
- Name(s) and CV(s) of artists involved
- Digital images of prior works of the participant artist(s)
- Detailed cost estimate of the event
- Source(s) and types of funding (confirmed or in process) for the event
4. Arts Council of ACCEA/NPAK will review the proposals and reply in writing by
December 15 of preceding year.
Applicants should bear in mind that:
1. ACCEA/NPAK is always closed for winter vacation, every year from mid-December through mid-January of the following year.
2. ACCEA/NPAK organizes Annual Festival of Alternative Art (AFAA), also known as Festival of 'Talent Search and Discovery' with following specifications:
- AFAA is held during month of April. Therefore the month of April is always taken.
- There is standing Open Call for participation at AFAA for all aspiring artists and curators.
- As of the date of this announcement there are 5 main sections at AFAA: Fine Arts, Performing Arts (Theater and Cinema), Literature, Art Criticism and Music.
