GLAAD Announces Open Call for Art Submissions for OUTAuction!

GLAAD's Artist Outreach Committee and Curator for OUTAuction are looking for artists to submit art works to be auctioned at our signature art event – OUTAuction.
This year's OUTAuction marks a major milestone – ten years of celebrating established and emerging artist, while recognizing GLAAD's Top 100 Artists.
All selected artists will receive two tickets to attend OUTAuction on November 20, 2011!
Submissions are due by October 21st. OUTAuction represents artists of all sexual orientations (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, straight). All are encouraged to apply!
There are two ways to submit artwork:
1) All materials can be submitted via our online form (online form can be found by going to www.glaad.org/outauction)
2) Or visit our website to download the application and view the submission guidelines and criteria form
Works are screened by art industry leaders, 100 pieces of art work are selected and exhibited at OUTAuction, and bid on by over 600 attendees.
Proceeds from OUTAuction benefit the work of GLAAD's Media Programs Department to amplify the voice of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
All emerging artists that are selected to participate in this year’s show will be eligible to be nominated for the Best Emerging Artist Awards in three categories: Mixed Media, Painting/ Drawing and Photography.
Previous artists whose art works have been auctioned off include: Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro, Marc Chagall, Herb Ritts, Ross Bleckner, David LaChapelle, Steven Klein, Ryan McGinness, Karim Rashid, Clodagh, Annie Leibovitz, Karim Rashid, Mario Sorrenti, Peter Max, Rosie O'Donnell, and Patrick McMullan, among many others.
This year marks the tenth year of OUTAuction, and with your support this will be the most successful OUTAuction yet!
