Writers can participate in a contest on the green economy.
The International Human Dimensions Programme on Global Environmental Change (IHDP) is holding writing contest. Articles will be part of a new magazine to be launched late 2011.
The contest is open to young scholars from all over the world, graduate students, PhD students or postdocs. Scholars from developing countries are particularly encouraged to participate.
Five winners to be awarded a cash prizes and their work will be featured in the first issue of the magazine. First place will be awarded US$500, second place US$200 and third through fifth place receive US$100 each.
Articles should address a significant scientific topic relating to the human dimensions of the green economy. While the subject matter may be technical, contestants should seek to write an article that is understandable to a non-scientific audience.
