The Contemporary Art Gallery is accepting applications for the position of
Program Administrator. This is a full-time position.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with contemporary art, non-profit
administration and will have excellent skills and experience in a full range
of administrative and organizational procedures. The position reports to the
Executive Director, supervises the work of the Bookkeeper, and is
responsible for ensuring the professional standards of routine gallery
operations while working as part of a team.
Responsibilities will include:
Overview of the Society’s finances;
Coordination of gallery events such as fundraising galas
Overseeing the computer network and information systems;
Supervision of facility maintenance;
Management of office systems and equipment;
Assisting with grant applications and reporting;
Other duties as required.
Interested candidates will have the following profile and qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills;
Proven organizational abilities;
Ability to work in a team environment;
Knowledge of budgeting and accounting procedures, familiarity with computer
and manual accounting systems;
Proficiency with MS Office applications and Simply Accounting;
Knowledge of computer network systems and maintenance;
Some knowledge of contemporary art is necessary;
Salary range: $42,000 – 52,000 plus benefits
Hours are Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. plus occasional evenings,
weekends and special events.
