AMP: Artists' Meeting Place and Resource Collective

The Burbank Green Alliance and the students of the California Resource Recovery Association will be conducting a survey of Reuse Artists and Artists who use "reused materials" in their work this week. We are in the process of putting together a pilot program/website for such Artists who need materials and donors who wish to divert resources that would have otherwise been recycled or landfilled.

What is the Artist Reuse Collective is …..
The collective identifies reuse artists in Southern California and offers the community a unique opportunity to support these artists by donating resources that would have otherwise been recycled or landfilled. The Artist Reuse Collective was established in conjunction with the nonprofit Burbank Green Alliance and the students of the 2011 California Resource Recovery Association Certification Program.

This new online collective provides:
1. Website database of reuse artists that transform reclaimed material into art.
2. Online materials exchange Google Group for donors and artists to trade material
3. Tax deductible trade opportunity for donors
4. A way for reuse artists to save money and be easily identified for their efforts
5. Great way to support the Arts and save the planet
