The Consortium of Asian American Theaters and Artists (CAATA) is looking for extremely organized individuals with excellent people skills to help coordinate the conference and festival portions in key positions of the Third National Asian American Theater Conference and Festival from June 16-26, 2011 in Los Angeles.
CAATA is looking for Los Angeles residents with experience in conference or festival organizing, or marketing/pr of Asian American events, or stage management, or technical theater. A knowledge of the Asian American community as well as a passion for Asian American theater is helpful. The ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with a calm demeanor is required. There is some pay. Some positions start immediately.

The Consortium of Asian American Theaters & Artists (CAATA) (a non-profit 501c3) is a national network comprised of Asian American artistic directors, arts leaders and artists committed to establishing an inclusive, responsible, and relevant national artistic voice for the rapidly growing and diversifying Asian Pacific American community. CAATA began in 2004 as an ad hoc committee of the leading Asian American arts leaders in the United States who came together during a conference held by Theatre Communications Group.
The Conference held June 20-22, 2011 is expected to draw 200 attendees to Little Tokyo Los Angeles at venues including East West Players and the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center.
The Festival held June 16-26, 2011 is expected to attract over 3200 patrons to Inner-City Arts in Downtown LA and the National Center for the Preservation of Democracy in Little Tokyo. Festival Partners include Theatre Communications Group, Radar LA, Festival of New American Musicals, Hollywood Fringe Festival, East West Players, Colony Theater and Playwrights' Arena.
