Grand Performances has a full-time, exempt position available for an
experienced Communications Director.

Grand Performances is Southern California's largest presenter of free
performing arts and is based in downtown Los Angeles. The annual outdoor
free performing arts events reflect the best of global culture and
inspire community among the diverse peoples of Los Angeles. [501(c)(3)

Grand Performances is seeking an experienced, creative Communications
Director who wants to work in an environment that is energetic,
collaborative and artistic and who is a strong writer and has a history
of successful marketing, promotion and media relations in the Los
Angeles area. The Communications Director manages all aspects of
internal and external communications for Grand Performances including,
but not limited to, marketing, media and public relations, graphic
design and brand management, website design, online content and social
media coordination. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with
excellent presentation skills and ability to speak effectively to a
variety of internal and external audiences. The Communications Director
works closely with the Executive Director, Director of Development and
support staff to implement strategic partnerships and communication
strategies for the organization. He/she serves essential functions at
all public performances during evening and weekend hours and interacts
frequently with Grand Performances’ diverse constituents including
audiences and performers.

Qualifications
Five or more years communications and/or marketing experience.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
A confident self-starter with excellent organizational and teamwork
skills and ability to prioritize is essential.

Salary is based on experience (annual salary range: $50,000 to $55,000).
