Student Film Making Contest (Glendale/Eagle Rock/Burbank/La Crescenta/La Canada/Atwater)

How does art define your community? Students between the ages of 16 and
24, who live or attend school in Glendale, Eagle Rock, Burbank, La
Crescenta, La Canada or Atwater Village, are invited to answer that
question through a short 2-minute film contest!

Sponsored by the Glendale Arts
, Glendale Friday Afternoon Kiwanis ,
Sedna Solutions , and It Factory Media
, the goal of this project is to use
filmmaking and new media channels to give students a forum to express
their ideas, perspectives and talents while at the same time provide a
much needed commentary on the role the arts play in shaping the
identity of a community.

We invite our young filmmakers to interpret this theme through short
2-minute films that will be streamed on YouTube and the Glendale Arts
website - but the fun doesn't stop there! Entrants must promote their
work and build their audience by getting their friends, family members,
fellow students and fans to vote for their films online! Students with
the most votes will take the top prizes:
Prizes
First Place: Apple iPad 64GB with Wi-Fi + 3G

Second Place: Apple iPad 16GB with Wi-Fi

Third Place: Canon PowerShot SX120 IS Digital Camera
