PILAR CITOLER´S INTERNATIONAL PRIZE FOR CONTEMPORARY PHOTOGRAPHY is a contemporary oriented photography contest that had its first edition on 2006 in Paris, coinciding with PARIS-PHOTO. This year, 2010, will be its fifth edition. To mark this occasion an assembly with specialized press will be conducted on November 17th, in collaboration with the Spanish Embassy in Paris.

Works for the fifth edition can be submitted from November 24th to December 3rd, 2010 (For guidelines go to: www.premiopilarcitoler.es).

This Award has one of the highest economic reward of its kind: 15.000 €. Along with the prize, the winning artist will perform a solo exhibit at the Sala Puerta Nueva de Córdoba and will be subject of a monograph of his or her work, that will be published and integrated in the collection “El ojo que ves”.

Among its objectives: the diffusion of photography today and most importantly the recognition of works in this field which remain insufficiently disseminated.

The success of previous editions has been remarkable, not only because of the number of featured artists from around the world, but also for the presence of broadly and contemporary renowned photographers.

The Jury for the 5th edition is presided by Pilar Citoler, and formed by José Manuel Ballester, Jaime Brihuega, José Guirao, Juan del Junco, Pilar Serra, Giulietta Speranza and Alfonso de la Torre.
