The Sound Kitchen: Performance Area at Prague Quadrennial
http://www.pq.cz/en/sound-kitchen.html
The Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space is looking for interactive sound installations for the project’s principal venue, the New Stage of the National Theatre.
PQ Sound Curator Mr Steven Brown invites composers and sound designers to join The Sound Kitchen and offer ideas for 15/20 minute pieces to be played, or activated, live by them using a laptop computer, and/or any other type of mobile device (eg iPod. iPad, mobile telephone, cassette recorder!).
We especially encourage (but not limited to) receiving applications which reflect the following -
• work which has been previously developed for a performance, or theatre piece.
• work which somehow involves internet participation from collaborators elsewhere in the world.
• work compiled, or composed using field (location) recordings made at and during Prague Quadrennial 2011.
Performers are asked to supply all playback equipment (i.e. the computer, or mobile device) and all necessary software to perform the work and to clear all potential copyright claims. Travel, accommodation costs and per diems are covered by performers themselves.
