Call To Artists for Arts in the Park, formerly the Ventura Art Festival
The Ventura Art Festival has announced that it will now become part of
ArtWalk in Ventura.. The event, now known as Arts in the Park, will
take place during ArtWalk, Saturday, October 16 from 1:00 p.m.-9:00
p.m. and Sunday, October 17 from 12:00 p.m. -5:00 p.m. at Plaza Park
in downtown Ventura.
Artists of all original fine art and fine craft disciplines may
apply. Artists must submit one application per category. All entries
will be juried. Digital images of artwork required for jurying. The
show will be juried by Michael Kelly, fine artist/designer and
Director, Ray Bradbury Theater and Film Foundation.
$25 Application Fee. Upon acceptance the application fee will be
applied towards the booth fee.
Artists must provide their own displays and/or canopy. Booth fees are
as follows:
Half booth (5x10) $75
Booth (10x10) $125
Double booth (10x20) $225
This year, the Arts in the Park will select a Featured Artist. The
Featured Artist’s work will be displayed on the festival poster and
other promotional items.
To support art sales, the Chamber of Commerce will be seeking Purchase
Award Sponsors. Purchase Award participants pledge to spend a minimum
of $100 to purchase a piece of artwork from their choice of exhibitors
at the festival.
This outdoor event will feature fine art, food by local restaurants,
wine and refreshments, and demonstrations and music throughout the day.
