LACE Design Internship
Intern will work with the LACE team to create a consistent and clear identity for LACE programs and operations. This position provides the opportunity to gain design experience and develop a professional portfolio. Intern will work directly with Assistant Director to create design templates and marketing signage for the gallery. Intern will also work with the Outreach Coordinator to develop press materials for upcoming events. This position provides hands-on experience in the administrative, creative, and operational realms of an exhibition space, and a point of entry to contemporary art.
Responsibilities include:
. develop templates and signage for LACE kiosks, events, and facilities
. create press material for upcoming programs
. assist Outreach Coordinator with the maintenance and expansion of the LACE website
. ensure quality of visitors' experience through facility maintenance
. perform clerical duties, including answering phone calls and sorting mail
. greet visitors and tracking attendance during gallery shifts
. assist during special events
Requirements include: . knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign or Quark,
. familiarity with Dreamweaver is a plus.
. design experience is a must, . willingness to work with a hands-on team environment.
