AMP: Artists' Meeting Place and Resource Collective

Hello,

My name is Gil, I play in an alternative rock band from Jerusalem, Israel called missFlag.

The reason I'm here is because we're looking for help.

Lemme first tell you a little bit about ourselves:

We formed the band a year and a half ago, and recorded our first E.P january of this year. You can hear the E.P on our MySpace page, www.myspace.com/missFlagmusic, or on our website www.missFlag.com.

Thanks to the E.P we got a very successful L.A producer called Guy Erez interested in us. This producer has worked with the Gipsy Kings, Ryan Cabrera, Jennifer Love Hewwitt, Randy Coleman and many more, and he also wrote the "Crash" soundtrack... in other words, a real big shot.
So we made a deal with him, and in July we flew him in to Israel to record our debut album with his producing. The whole thing went great, he really took our level up a few notches, and the results were amazing.
The album is still being mixed, and will be completed and released next month in October.

Now I'll get to the point :P
We were invited by a big US Jewish organization that brings in Israeli artists once a year, to perform a few shows in Minneapolis between the 28th of October to the 5th of November.
Of course we accepted the invitation, very enthusiastically too I must say ;)

The thing is, we really wanna take full advantage of our free tickets to the states, and fly after the show to L.A, to visit our producer, and hopefully do a couple of gigs there.

So we were wondering... could anyone help us get a few shows in L.A, between the 5th of November to say, the 15th? (We'd be happy to open for some local bands, for example!).
If you can't help us directly get a gig, we'd also be happy if you could just recommend to us good places to perform in, or help connect us with people who you think might beable to help us (booking agencies, managers, club owners, anyone who can help).

It's a dream come true for us to perform in the states, and we'd really like to make the most of it... we're not looking to make a penny from those gigs, in fact we wouldn't even mind paying a little from our own pockets to have extra gigs there. We just wanna PERFORM, cause we love it :)

Any help, and I really mean any help, would be EXTREMELY appreciated.
