California artists with disabilities and arts organizations can apply for mini-grants through the California Arts Council's Arts and Accessibility Technical Assistance Program.
The purpose of the Arts and Accessibility Technical Assistance Program is twofold:
1. To assist California artists with disabilities with their professional development and
2. To assist arts organizations to be inclusive of audiences and artists with disabilities.
Examples of eligible projects are described below. The list is not meant to be limiting or all-inclusive.

Mini-grants for the Professional Development of Artists with Disabilities will support:
* Registration fees, travel, and other costs to attend workshops, conferences, seminars, master classes.
* Travel (within the United States) to exhibit, showcase or perform work.
* Purchase of supplies, materials or equipment to assist in the completion of work.
* Preparing work samples, marketing materials or portfolios.
* Production studio time for producing a demonstration tape for a composer or musician, a DVD for a choreographer, editorial assistance for a writer.
* Advanced training or apprenticeship with a professional artist.
Mini-grants for Arts Organizations will support:
* Services and supports to hire California artists with disabilities.
* Removing barriers to access by audiences by creating alternative formats for materials such as large print or Braille, audio description, ASL interpreter, and/or captioning.
* Attendance at meetings, workshops, trainings that address accessibility.
* Hiring a consultant to advise or provide training to improve the accessibility of your organization and programs.
* Establishing an access advisory committee.
