The Baruch College Department of Fine and Performing Arts seeks to
fill a new full-time, tenure-track position at the level of Assistant
Professor in New Media/Interdisciplinary Studies. The candidate's work
may be in areas that include web or interactive design, the arts,
performance, music, or graphic design. The successful candidate will
be involved in creative research and teaching in new media that holds
promise for bridging at least two of these disciplines.
MFA, PhD, or equivalent, college-level teaching experience and a
record of recognized creative/research to qualify for the position.

POSITION DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES
The Department of Fine and Performing Arts at Bernard M. Baruch College, CUNY, seeks a full-time Lecturer beginning in Fall 2010. The successful candidate will be collaborating with the three schools at Baruch: the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences, the Zicklin School of Business, and the School of Public Affairs to create a new Masters Program in Arts Administration/Management. Duties include teaching, student advising, and institutional service. Annual reappointment proceeds toward a Certificate of Continuous Employment.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants for the position should have an appropriate degree (PhD, MA, MFA, DMA or equivalent) in one of the disciplines of the Department (Art, Music, Theatre) or in Arts Administration, teaching experience, and demonstrated experience in the field of arts administration/management or related area of nonprofit or public management.
