Communications Manager
The Armory Communications Manager creates, manages and coordinates the
communication of Armory public information, including marketing materials,
website pages, press releases, exhibition catalogues, and program brochures.
This position assumes responsibility for assuring consistency and unity of
content, style and quality in all public relations and written materials
intended for Armory constituents.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
The Communications Manager manages the production of Armory publications and
electronic media. In so doing, duties include developing content, writing
and editing text, collecting and preparing imagery, establishing and
managing project budgets, working with pertinent Armory staff, graphic
designers and printers, as well as hire, negotiate contracts and oversee
graphic designers, printers, dvd authors, web site designers, and
videographers.
Qualified Candidates:
Qualified applicants must have excellent writing and editing skills, should
be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously,
should have knowledge and experience with publication management and website
and new media formats. Experience working with the press, and proficiency in
Photoshop and other design programs necessary.
