AMP: Artists' Meeting Place and Resource Collective

EarthSounds is currently seeking part-time interns with, or seeking to gain experience in marketing/booking/advertising/graphic design for our winter session. This is a fantastic opportunity if you'd like to gain knowledge of the music industry and the local California music, self-help and entrepreneurial scene.

www.EarthSounds.net is Music to educate, enliven and heal. Professional voice lessons gracefully entwining the voice and the soul; interactive workshops and Soul Singing Circles on the power of vocal expression as a healing tool; Reiki sessions with vocal toning. We provide opportunities and performances that emphasize healthy vocal technique, self-exploration and confidence building through the vehicle of the voice.

ADDITIONALLY: You may be working with Ariella's solo gigs and our all female percussion band, Yeh Dede. Yeh Dede is a world music fusion ensemble dedicated to making the world smaller and more understood one song at a time. Delving into the music of West Africa, the Middle East and Afro-Cuban songs and their own musical creations and improvised interpretations, Yeh Dede encompasses a full spectrum of the human voice, spirit and potential. www.yehdede.com

We're seeking interns who are interested in 1+ of the following roles in the Company:
-Marketing/PR
-Booking
-Social Networking
-IT
-Graphic Design
-Your unique talents

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive knowledge of social media sites & operations
- Websites: Building, updating, uploading content
- Knowledge of Adobe, Photoshop, Microsoft Office
- Has an interest in booking, cold calls, sales
- Creative problem solver, Thinks "outside the box"
- Must own laptop and have reliable transportation

DUTIES:
- Updating/uploading content on websites
- Cold calling music venues for bookings
- CD Sales/Shipment
- Advertising for upcoming shows, workshops and performances
- Creating a viral following

We are looking for those with a CAN DO attitude, willingness to learn and expand their knowledge, a deep interest and appreciation in the voice and singing and most of all, a passion for bringing art to the world.

Perks include free admittance to all shows and workshops, booking fees, and potential for a paid position as company grows.
