OPEN CALL: TINY TREASURES - 4th Annual Miniatures Show - CASH & CARRY - Group Show

Scheduled to run from December 4, 2009 - January 6, 2010

We are looking for original SMALL SCALE work for our annual miniatures show. Work should be priced at or below $100. The idea behind the show is to encourage art patrons and customers to "give the gift of art" -- "stocking stuffer" sized art. It is a CASH AND CARRY show. Cactus Gallery is dedicated to exhibiting and promoting visual art in thematic monthly shows. Our eclectic space welcomes all viewpoints and mediums for its exhibition schedule. We seek to provide an opportunity for artists to become showing members in the arts community of Northeast Los Angeles, whether they are showing for the first time or have years of exhibition experience.

The gallery is located in the Northeast Los Angeles (NELA) area. NELA has a tradition in the arts that dates back to the early 1900’s when the USC College of Fine Arts was located in Highland Park and characters like Charles Lummis and Antonio Corsi were living in the area. The tradition continues with new spaces opening regularly. NELA is now one of L.A.’s most exciting destinations to view contemporary art.
