Jordanian documentarians can take part in short-film competition

Jordanian documentary filmmakers are invited to participate in the Jordanian short-film competition, which will award 1000 JD (US$1,412) to the first place winner and a video camera to the second place winner at the 15th Franco-Arab Film Festival in Amman, Jordan from July 1 to 9. Deadline: June 7.
Films should not exceed 15 minutes and should be subtitled in English. Submissions must be in DVD format, and should be submitted with a picture or poster of the film, a synopsis in English and Arabic (70 words maximum), a short biography about the filmmaker (50 words maximum) in English and Arabic, and the technical details of the film (cast, year of production, etc.). Applicants must also complete an application form at the French Embassy in Amman.

The French Embassy is open to the public from Sunday to Wednesday from 8:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. On Thursday, working hours are from 8:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
