AMP: Artists' Meeting Place and Resource Collective

Downtown Photography 101 Classes will begin at 7:00pm, Tuesday
February 17th @ "The Exchange" located in Gallery Row at 114 West
5th Street, zip 90013, our thanks to Russell Brown for offering us
the use of his new community space. Guest Lecturer, world-class
actor & photographer Dr. Mark Valinsky will begin this free
community experience for anyone who has a digital camera and may
have questions about how to improve their technique this is the
place. This first presentation will focus on basic understandings
such as camera shooting mode, shutter speed, night shooting and
more. Mark will also offer advice relating cell phone camera
techniques. Our host that evening will be Julie Rico owner of
Weeneez Hot Dogs & Julie Rico Gallery on 5th and Spring. This is
more than a classroom experience we will also feature live models
wearing various clothing creations by Stella Dottir. Remember to
bring your camera and become part of this experimental live
classroom live-shoot experience. We are looking for experienced
photographers of photo shop people who would like to participate in
this experience, or if you would like feature your fashions to be
